The Bolsover North East Derbyshire LEADER area covers many of the wards within Bolsover and North East Derbyshire Districts.
The main areas that are ineligible for funding are essentially the market towns of Bolsover, Clay Cross, Dronfield, Shirebrook and South Normanton which are designated as being Urban. This has been classified by the Office for National Statistics and is based upon Census Output Areas.
However, some areas on the edge of the built-up urban areas may be eligible to receive LEADER funding.
The map below gives an indication of these areas - the parts shaded light blue are the eligible areas and the unshaded parts are ineligible.
To determine if your project is within an eligible area, Defra and Natural England have developed an interactive online mapping tool called Magic. To use the mapping tool, click on the Magic link above and follow the instructions which can be found at the foot of this page.
If, having used the mapping tool, you are still unsure of your location's eligibility, contact the LEADER Team.
If the location is not within the LEADER area, there may be the opportunity to access other funds:
North East Derbyshire District Council has a pilot 'Business Growth Fund' for businesses that are not within the LEADER area - Clay Cross, Dronfield - which offers small grants to businesses wishing to grow. The scheme opened on 16th November 2015 and will run to Autumn 2017. For more information on the scheme and how to apply, click here to visit the webpage.
A similar scheme is now in operation in the Bolsover district for the areas of Bolsover Town, Shirebrook and South Normanton. Further details can be found via this link:
