Each application will be assessed on a case by case basis and the Local Action Group will decide how much grant funding an individual project may be offered.  Projects can be funded for a maximum of three years.

There is no maximum grant, grants can vary up to 100% funded projects, the percentage of LEADER funding depends on the commercial return, part of this can be made up of ‘other public’ monies’. The Micro-Enterprise and Diversification of Agriculture measures require a minimum of 50% private match funding.

The RDPE/LEADER Approach is subject to European Union rule on State Aid. In certain circumstances there is a limit on public funds a single business can receive within a three year period (€500,000).
