The BNED LEADER Local Action Group (LAG) has been awarded €1,713,000 of European Agricultural Fund For Rural Development (EAFRD) through the Rural Development Programme for England for the funding of rural projects in the local area. This represents a Sterling equivalent of approximately £1,370,000 (this figure may alter in line with Euro exchange rates).
The BNED LEADER Approach is now open for business and invites projects to apply for funding
Funding will still be available until such time as the UK exits the European Union.
We are keen to hear from any projects who may require LEADER funding. To be eligible you must:
a) operate your business in the eligible area - you can check this on Defra's Magic Map website
b) fit within one of the six priorities of the programme which are as follows:
These priorities have been determined by the European Commission for the 2014-2020 programme. They are intended to deliver the overarching aims of Jobs and Growth. You can find more information regarding the EC Rural Development Programme on the Commission's website.
The BNED LAG has considered both the Commission's priorities and the needs of the local area to produce a Local Development Strategy for Bolsover and North East Derbyshire. The LAG, in arriving at its decision, agreed that at least 80% of projects demonstrate that Jobs and Growth will be created. This strategy document can be downloaded below.
The financial profile contained within the Strategy has been updated and this can be viewed on the Availability of Funding page.
If you have an idea for a project for which you are seeking funding please contact the Programme Officer for an informal discussion.
